Blackmore Vale Lions Half Marathon and Relay: 4th February 2024
A half marathon over quiet undulating country roads in a beautiful area of North Dorset, run by the Blackmore Vale Lions Club. Including a relay event (teams of 2 runners) along the same half marathon course.
Pen Selwood 10k and children races: TBA April 2024
Being close to the Stourhead estate, the 10k/5k races are on very scenic courses along quiet country lanes with little traffic. The event is organised for the whole family, including a 2k for the younger ones. All profits go to the Pen Selwood village and their supported charity.
Marnhull 12k (M12K) – TBA April 2024 (DRRL race)

An undulating route along quiet country lanes with far reaching view hosted by St Gregory’s School in Marnhull. There’ll be hot food, tea and cake, kids entertainment and much much more. Even if you’re not running the race, come along , support the runners, enjoy the food and have fun at this great local event, raising much needed funds for this local primary school.
Tarrant Valley 10K: TBA June 2024
The Tarrant Valley 10 comprises a multi-terrain 10km race and a separate 1 mile children’s race, hosted by the village of Tarrant Monkton, set entirely within the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Both races start and finish in front of The Langton Arms pub right in the heart of the village.
Gold Hill 10k and children’s races: TBA October 2024 (DRRL race)
Starting from the playing fields of Shaftesbury School, the 10k is a single loop route on scenic country lanes. The course is hilly and soon after the start you get to run up the picturesque Gold Hill, made famous by the Hovis advert. Gold Hill is the most iconic hill on the route but it certainly isn’t the longest. There are 2 children’s races running simultaneously. All profits go to the local explorer scouts.
